Superintendent's Page
Welcome to my superintendent page. My name is Patricia Rawlings. I am a 1974 graduate of Maynard High School. I attended all twelve years at Maynard. I grew up in Warm Springs, Arkansas. My parents are I.M. "Slim" and Betty Bounds. I have five siblings. Steve, class of 1968, Regina, class of 1970, Janet, class of 1971, Barbara, class of 1979, and Shelly, class of 1984. I worked in the business field for sixteen years before getting into education. I received my Associates degree from Three Rivers Community College, Poplar Bluff, MO, my Bachelors and Masters degree in Business Education from Arkansas State University, and my Specialist in Educational Administration from Southeast Missouri State University, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. I taught Business Education at the Doniphan High School and taught classes for Three Rivers Community College before coming back home to Maynard. I taught Business Education for three years before becoming the Curriculum Director. I was Curriculum Director for three years before becoming the Superintendent. I am beginning my ninth year in that position.
Last school year was an unusual school year and we worked hard to make it as normal as possible. I'm afraid that this year may follow in its steps with the new strand of Covid hitting our area. We continue to ask for your help in meeting the ADH and CDC guidelines that will help keep our students and staff protected from this Covid-19 virus.
We have received ESSER funds to help accomodate the school due to the complications of Covid-19. We have utilized those funds for PPE supplies (mask, hand sanitizer, gowns for the nurses, water stations, dividers for staff and students, etc.). We have purchased sprayers for each janitor and bus driver along with the solution for them to spray every building/bus everyday. Additional funds will be forthcoming and the plans for those will be listed in our District Learning Plan. We encourage your feedback for the use of these funds. You may give your feedback in person, by email, or by phone. We welcome you to all board meetings. They are held every second Tuesday of each month.
